Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Flavrdex (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Rebellion Software LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), registered at North Carolina, USA.

2. The service

Flavrdex is an ad-free recipe storage and organisation platform. We offer:

• Free plan: Up to 25 recipes, public/private visibility, unlimited recipe books, shareable links.
• Individual plan: Unlimited recipes, Discover community access, public/private visibility.
• Family plan: Everything in Individual, plus up to 4 members under one subscription and shared family recipe visibility.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Account registration

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.

Notify us immediately at support@flavrdex.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis. Billing is handled by Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record for all transactions. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.

Upgrades and downgrades: You may change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. If you cancel a paid plan, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

Recipe limits on cancellation: If you have more than 25 recipes when a paid subscription expires, your newest recipes (beyond 25) will be hidden — not deleted. They are fully restored if you re-subscribe at any time.

Family plan membership: When a Family plan is cancelled or downgraded, all non-owner members revert to free accounts. Family members do not receive refunds when removed from a plan.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all recipes and content you create in Flavrdex ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. You must not upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.

Public recipes may be visible to other Flavrdex users and indexed by search engines. Private recipes are not shared publicly. You can change visibility at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious code, spam, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically download content from the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service to distribute unsolicited commercial communications

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Flavrdex name, logo, interface design, and original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of North Carolina, USA.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
